Train Troll: Model Ships and Narrow Gauge

O Scale (1:48) 32' Barge (Scow)

This small barge (or scow) is based on vessels used throughout the world to support various maritime functions. The design has a slight sheer fore and aft and has a very high waterline to simulate being fully loaded. Wood bitts and cleats give it more of a primitive look. The removable deck hatch allows for further detailing. Also includes a small length of chain.

A barge like this would be used to haul materials such as lumber or moored alongside to perform various supply, maintenance functions or any other functions requiring a flat steady surface on the water, sort of like the flatcar of the marine world. The Troll uses the barges to set up movable piers and wharf boats on modules at shows. The model could be the base for a freelance workboat/ houseboat, or just set an old narrow gauge boxcar with some marine clutter.

Instructions are full color and provided on a CD-ROM.
